Malaysia Weekend
As a tribute to Malaysia Day 2011, the EPIC team built a house all the way from ground up. Not only did we have a great time getting to know the family, we also had privilege to learn about the distinctive architectural methods of the Temuan tribe.
The design of this home was was based on the family’s existing utilisation of space and lifestyle.
This is how it looked like when we finished building the place…
Upon returning 2 weeks later, Ibu’s family added some personal touches, turning this house into ‘their home’.

It was definitely a challenge as this huge house build spanned over the period of 5 days with over 40 people coming in to build. We’ve got to give thanks to all those helping hands, for without your determination and willingness to trade your weekend in for a few days of hard labour, this house wouldn’t have been made at all!
