For all of those who have been writing in, asking us on facebook and calling us for details, here are the answers you’ve been waiting for:
Where is the build?
Batang Kali, Kuala Kubu Bahru.
Approx 1.5 hours from KL.
When is the build?
July 13th-15th 2012.
You will be required to stay overnight in Batang Kali for 2 nights – we will be there for the entire duration of 3 days, and there will be no trips back to KL during the event unless an emergency arises. We will be staying in a co-ed dorm. We usually depart by 7.30am on Day 1 and return by 11pm on Day 3.
How will we get there?
This time, we will be hiring two buses to take us to our destination and we’re going to have a massive party onboard (think of those exciting school trips and the crazy songs we sing on the way – DO bring guitars if you have them too!) One bus will be kept for shuttling us to and from the site. The site simply cannot accommodate 12 cars.
Who can participate?
Anyone who is above the age of 18, and who can attend the compulsory breifing & workshop. There are only 60 spots for this build! Please note we will confirm your slot via e-mail. All slots are reserved on a ‘first come first served basis’.
When is the briefing & workshop and why do I have to go?
The briefing & workshop will be held on July 1, 2012 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
The briefing is compulsory. You are only eligible to join the house building if you attend this briefing. If you will not be available for the pre-event briefing, your slot will be given to the next available candidate.
Why is the briefing compulsory?
Not only will you be given the full event itinerary, you will also explore the house design, receive construction knowledge, tool practice, confirm payment for the house build, and most importantly, meet the people you will be spending 3 full days with.

- Sleeping bag – we will be staying in a dorm, and you know how it is
- Boots/thick shoes that cover your toes
- Bring musical instruments!!
